All Elite 1 Driving School, Driving Instructors Are Fully Qualified Driving Instructors (“ADI's”).
All of our driving instructors have been (CRB) Criminal Records Bureau checked to make sure they are in accordance with the (DSA) Driving Standards Agency. The CRB check searches our driving instructors details against criminal records and other sources, including the Police National Computer.
All of our driving instructors vehicles at Elite 1 Driving School are fully insured and are fitted with dual control’s in accordance with the (DSA) Driving Standards Agency.
All our driving instructors use the latest teaching techniques and are checked regulary by the (DSA) Driving Standard Agency via the check test system. Each driving instructor has to be watched by a driving instructor examiner to make sure there teaching is a very good standard.

Hear at Elite 1 Driving School we like to meet with our instructors on a regular basis to ensure the values and standards of the driving school are being maintained, this includes ensuring the car is properly cleaned, insured and road legal at all times to our instructors being suitably dressed in accordance to a driving instructor. This is also valuable time for the instructor to air any problems they may have with the school.
All Elite 1 Driving School, driving instructors have received and continue to receive, the finest training to ensure the highest standards of driving lesson tuition is passed on to you the student. They receive regular updates on teaching techniques along with driving lesson’s planning.
At Elite 1 Driving School we are continually encouraging our driving instructors to improve on there teaching skills, we do this by the way of “CPD” Continual Professional Development which can be other teaching qualifications or attending seminars on various subjects to do with the driving school profession.
We make sure correct driving instructor teaching methods are being used at all times.
Elite 1 Driving School also use a form of “secret shopper” to ensure the values of the driving school are met by our driving instructors and the students are getting the best value for money. We will use selected new students as a secret student on their 1st lesson and in return they do not have to pay for the 1st hour driving lesson. Elite 1 Driving School will ask the new student to answer some questions about the driving instructor, the car, how the lesson went and if they where happy after they had the driving lesson with Elite 1 Driving School. This way we can get a honest opinion on our driving instructors and on our driving school.

One of the best ways to keep the Driving lessons required to a minimum is to ensure that you have regular Driving lessons. If you can afford more, it would help you learn at a faster pace. The Driving lesson length can also affect how many hours you require, personally we would recommend the 2 hour Driving lesson option at least once or twice a week. Obviously this is not going to be ideal for everyone. This is why we have a wide range of Driving lessons options available to suit you.

We can offer you driving lessons to suit you and your individual needs.
Learning to drive with learning difficulties can be a very daunting feeling, however with the right approach and Elite 1 Driving School that has firsthand experience of teaching pupils with these conditions the learning process can be made a lot less stressful. Throughout the individual’s ‘journey’ in learning to drive, aspects of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or ADHD should be positively looked for in order to provide the required support. Many adults do not know they are dyslexic or have any learning difficulties as it was not identified when they were at school.
They say it may take the dyslexic or dyspraxia pupil longer to learn to drive, and they may need more than one attempt to pass the practical test it is NOT always the case with Elite 1 Driving School.
The key is to use multi sensory learning and to ensure that new information or skills are heavily embedded. For example, if someone has poor visual memory, then use their auditory or tactile memory to compensate. They are likely to need lots of reinforcement to embed learning from the short term memory but most dyslexic people have excellent long term memories so they need to be able to make use of this.

The main cause of nerves is not feeling in control, or worrying about your own ability. So it is essential to remember that no-one is able to drive safely from day one – that’s the point of lessons, gradually getting better as you build up experience at driving on the roads, getting used to the car, the controls, the space around the car, road conditions, reacting to other drivers, learning to control the vehicle through use of the gears, using the mirrors, signalling, reversing and so on and so forth.
